The Align 2020 Showcase was a student-led project I participated in towards the end of my university experience. Along with a small cohort we curated a display showcasing the work of AUB Graphic Design's Class of 2020 through a online virtual exhibition, a class website and also managed various social platforms, all during the initial few months of the 2020 Spring pandemic.

In June we hosted an opening night whereby we invited the graduate class and staff, notable alumni of the course and industry professionals to navigate the exhibition for themselves. Exploring each design category of print, branding, packaging, digital, service design, 3D and motion highlighting each student through a clickable profile. Once the exhibition was completed, guests were invited to video chat with particular students to discuss their process and progression and/or subsequently were invited to join The Bar, a Google Meet hosted video call with the entire guestlist, allowing everyone to virtually mingle and network.
As apart of our social approach, we tried to create content that celebrated our graduate students, reflected on our university experiences, offered support for those working in isolation and hope for the future.

A series that proved highly successful with our interaction was our interviews with industry professionals and companies, such as Chrissy Levett,
Pali Palavathanan, The Syrup Room, Walker Agency and Thinking Juice. During this series I was partly responsible for interviewing our guest via video calls and editing the videos to suit different social dimensions and post them accordingly.
The Align 2020 Showcase was lucky enough to be featured on Creative Lives in Progress (formerly Lecture in Progress) under Graduate Shows of 2020,I contributed my own response to how the class was feeling during the difficult months that ended our final year at university and how Align 2020 acted as the only event that where we could celebrate our achievements despite the sadness of the pandemic.
